The Lee family makes its home in the remote Aleutian Islands, which are beautiful to 10-year-old Eric (Torquil Campbell) but also incredibly lonely. First, Eric asks for a puppy to keep him company. But when he befriends a mythical golden seal one night after a violent storm, the two quickly become inseparable — until his new best friend and her pup become the target of bounty hunters. Now, Eric will stop at nothing to protect them.
