Nathan Fillion would love to play DC Comics’ Booster Gold

Despite voicing Green Lantern in multiple animated flicks and being a fan favorite to play several different superheroes, Nathan Fillion still hasn't been able to land a role in a comic book movie. I know, he cameoed in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, but that really doesn't count. The actor may never be cast as the lead in a CBM, however during an appearance at Wizard World Comic Con Chicago, Fillion said he thinks he'd make a damn fine Booster Gold.

I think I could take a pretty good crack at Booster Gold. That’s kind of my niche… show-offy, vain. I think I could handle that… not too bright.

Fillion went on to say he'd also be down for playing Ambush Bug and starring in a The Greatest American Hero reboot, although it's hard to tell if he was joking about the latter.

I think Ambush Bug. Remember that guy? Little bit off his rocker. You’d never see my face. But I think Greatest American Hero is due for a reboot.

Warner Bros. and DC don't have a Booster Gold movie in the works, and it doesn't appear as if they have any big screen plans for the character. I would love to see Fillion play the superhero though, and I think it would be awesome if he had a small role in say, the next Superman movie, with the Man of Steel saving his cocky ass to start the film. Is that going to happen? Probably not, but a boy can still dream.
