New trailer and poster hit for the fantasy-adventure flick Seventh Son

You've no doubt heard of the fantasy flick starring Jeff Bridges, SEVENTH SON, before. Perhaps it was when it was going to be released on October 18th, 2013. Or maybe you saw the trailer before its release was set for January 17, 2014. No matter, as a newer trailer is here to remind you that the flick is now (most likely) coming out on February 6, 2015.

The revised synopsis is as follows:

In a time of enchantments when legends and magic collide, the sole remaining warrior of a mystical order (Jeff Bridges) travels to find a prophesized hero born with incredible powers, the last Seventh Son (Ben Barnes). Torn from his quiet life as a farmhand, the unlikely young hero embarks on a daring adventure with his battle-hardened mentor to vanquish a dark queen (Julianne Moore) and the army of supernatural assassins she has dispatched against their kingdom.

The film looks like it could be fun, but production delays like this don't bode well for anyone and frankly, I can't help but make comparisons to flicks like 47 RONIN and R.I.P.D. that also looked like they were going to be fun and are better left forgotten. The fact of that matter is, there's a lot coming our way in 2015 and I don't think this flick will be that large on anyone's radar. One thing's for sure: a new, horrific poster isn't going to sway anyone's decision.

SEVENTH SON may (or may not) be released on February 6, 2015.
