Ron Howard and Tom Hanks will be back for Dan Brown’s Inferno

Another installment of the “Da Vinci Code” is coming our way December of 2015, and there’s nothing you can do about it. Eh, the first really wasn’t all that bad. The second was a little much for me even though Tom Hanks in anything makes me insanely happy.

Tom Hanks and Ron Howard are back on (of course) to tackle the third installment. Okay, they are actually skipping the third and moving on to the fourth. This isn’t anything surprising though since they did set the events of ANGELS & DEMONS after DA VINCI CODE and it’s really the other way around. Howard does not have any interest in directing the true third installment, THE LOST SYMBOL but he will be on in a producing capacity.

Synopsis: In the heart of Italy, Harvard professor of symbology Robert Langdon is drawn into a harrowing world centered on one of history’s most enduring and mysterious literary masterpieces… Dante’s Inferno. Against this backdrop, Langdon battles a chilling adversary and grapples with an ingenious riddle that pulls him into a landscape of classic art, secret passageways, and futuristic science. Drawing from Dante’s dark epic poem, Langdon races to find answers and decide whom to trust… before the world is irrevocably altered.

INFERNO has a release date of December 15, 2015. THE LOST SYMBOL is likely to come after that.
