Room star Jacob Tremblay joins Tom Jane for Shane Black’s The Predator

As we just heard yesterday, Tom Jane recently began negotiations to join the cast of Shane Black's upcoming remake/reboot/sequel to PREDATOR, called THE PREDATOR. Well, it's time to welcome another member to the quickly growing cast with child actor extraordinaire Jacob Tremblay.

Young Jacob made splash last year starring in the Indie-Drama Oscar darling ROOM, with Brie Larson. In THE PREDATOR he will be joining Boyd Holbrook, Sterling K. Brown, Keegan-Michael Key, Trevante Rhodes, Olivia Munn (see bleow), and (possibly) Tom Jane. Tremblay is set to play the son of Holbrook's character, an ex-Marine who discovers the existence of fierce aliens but finds that no one believes they exist. Tremblay's character is described as:

"… autistic and bullied in school but becomes a key player in the fight due to his preternatural ability to learn languages."

I mean, Predator doesn't kill the innocent, and a young boy with autism and a gaggle of bullies in tow seems like the definition of "innocent." Will he end up being the character to save the men with guns by teaching them all the Predator wants is peace on Earth? Maybe. Maybe The Predator is bullied on his home world too! *Head explodes*

Production on THE PREDATOR start this February. Black co-wrote the script with Fred Dekker (Night of the Creeps, Monster Squad) and is directing.
