Roth talks Thanksgiving

This weekend you can see Eli Roth splitting Nazi heads in Quentin Tarantino’s INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS but what’s next for the genre director? Well he’s openly discussed how the big budget PG-13 sci-fi flick ENDANGERED SPECIES is next on his slate but what about flicks like THANKSGIVING and TRAILER TRASH? SciFi Wire recently talked to Roth and asked exactly that…

First up, like Stephen King’s CELL Roth is no longer involved with TRAILER TRASH. Roth tells us why in the interview but the bottom line is he and the studio couldn’t see eye to eye. THANKSGIVING on the other hand is still a go it seems… Actually it seems Roth has a THANKSGIVING franchise on his mind…

“Now I’m kind of thinking maybe I should make like 20 Thanksgivings in a row, just shoot them all and just release them out of order. Like, do Thanksgiving 7, then Thanksgiving 4, then 5 and 6 in the theater. People’d be like, ‘Why did 7 come out already?’ It’s like, ‘Well, it doesn’t matter. It’s just a bunch of people getting chopped up anyways. Who cares?'”

The funny thing is I can’t tell if the man is joking or not! Either way we’ll have to wait a while for a THANKSGIVING film, whether it be Part 1 or 7 because Roth is all geared up to start work on ENDANGERED SPECIES. Head right over here to read up on the whole interview. We’ll keep an eye on all things Eli Roth and bring you the news once we hear it!
