Life finds a way! Jeff Goldblum joins Jurassic World sequel!

All right, my JURASSIC PARK fanatics, get ready to be happy. Dr. Ian Malcolm is returning to the JURASSIC franchise for JURASSIC WORLD 2! Life has found a way indeed!

Goldblum joins returning castmembers Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and BD Wong, as well as new castmembers James Cromwell, Toby Jones and Ted Levine for the J.A. Bayona-directed sequel that Pratt has said is a "scarier version" than JURASSIC WORLD that will be "a little bit darker" and push the series forward in a way that is "really unexpected". Now, that's some Chaos Theory I can get behind!

No word on how lengthy the role may be for the film, but here's to hoping that he's back in the action, rather than just supplying a cameo (although I'll honestly just be happy to see Malcolm back where he belongs). Now, if they could just dig up that old fossil Dr. Grant and his former flame Dr. Sattler we'd have us a proper reunion.

JURASSIC WORLD is currently filming (and about halfway done according to Producer Frank Marshall) and I couldn't be more excited about it now that we have A) J.A. Bayona directing and B) Dr. Ian f*cking Malcolm. I was not as won over as many by JURASSIC WORLD, but the sequel is sounding better and better. Here's to hoping for some more "Oohs and Aahs" as well as some "running and screaming".

JURASSIC WORLD 2 (or whatever the hell they end up calling it) will roar into theaters on June 22, 2018.
