Space Jam: A New Legacy posters bring back the Tune Squad

Warner Bros. Pictures has called eight new character posters for Space Jam: A New Legacy to the court. As you can see from the images posted below, each poster highlights a star player on the Tune Squad team including Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, Tweety Bird, Daffy Duck, Road Runner, Speedy Gonzalez, the Tazmanian Devil, and, of course, LeBron James.

Boy oh boy, if you thought trolls complaining about Lola Bunny's new figure were obnoxious, just wait until they get a look at these posters. I'm not a graphic artist by any stretch, but could we have thought of a better theme than "basic Photoshop gradient" for characters as timeless as the Looney Tunes? When I think Space Jam I think crowds of cheering people and outlandish on-court antics. I'm just saying a little hustle would have gone a long way.

In this film, basketball champion and global icon LeBron James goes on an epic adventure alongside timeless Tune Bugs Bunny. When James and his young son Dom – who dreams of being a video game developer – are trapped in a digital space by a rogue AI, James must get them home safe by leading Bugs, Lola Bunny, and the whole gang of notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes to victory over the AI’s digitized champions on the court: a powered-up roster of basketball stars as you’ve never seen them before.

You can check out all of the new posters below:

Directed by Malcolm D. Lee (Girls Trip, Undercover Brother), Space Jam: A New Legacy will hit the hardwood in theaters and on HBO Max on July 16, 2021. The movie will then be available to HBO Max subscribers in the US only for 31 days at no extra cost.
