Spider-Man 3: Tom Holland & Zendaya arrive in Atlanta to film Spidey sequel

Tom Holland is a very busy man. The young actor just wrapped shooting on UNCHARTED last week and now he has arrived in Atlanta, Georgia to begin filming SPIDER-MAN 3. Not too far behind him was MJ herself, Emmy winner Zendaya, who arrived via private plane to get started on the highly anticipated third installment.

Holland was actually the first to arrive on Monday as he shared some videos on his Instagram story that featured him after he landed in the area and expressed his enthusiasm to get started on the film. Another SPIDER-MAN 3 Instagram story had the actor detailing how he was excited to go through the script on his IPad while joking he will tell us nothing because he has learned his lesson from the past (the actor has notoriously leaked some Marvel info that was meant to stay secret). You can check out the video of his arrival and the IPad video below.

Zendaya's arrival in Atlanta was caught by "Just Jared" as she arrived in the area with her entourage. She is then seen being picked up at the tarmac, more likely by personnel from Marvel Studios. While Zendaya didn't post about being in Atlanta for the Spidey sequel, fans on Twitter posted pictures with her after her arrival at Publix in the Georgia capital and she seemed more than happy to engage in some properly masked photos with the fans she ran into. You can check out the pictures of Zendaya's arrival and the fan photos below.

It's refreshing to see things get rolling on the sequel during a time when productions have stalled or been compromised due to the global pandemic. SPIDER-MAN 3 is getting a bit of a late start since Holland had to wrap on UNCHARTED first which had its production halted at one point due to the Hollywood shut down after the coronavirus hit. Thankfully both films are distributed by Sony Pictures so I'm sure all the fine details were worked out to make the transition from film to film as easy as possible.

Not much is known about the actual plot of SPIDER-MAN 3 but there have been some big casting tidbits that have fans debating on where the film's narrative will be headed. Jamie Foxx is reprising his role as Max Dillon/Electro from 2014's THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, which featured Andrew Garfield as the web-slinger and, as far as we knew, wasn't connected to the MCU SPIDER-MAN films. Some fans think we are getting a live-action multiverse in the third film and it's a theory that gained more legs when it was announced that Benedict Cumberbatch was joining the film as Doctor Strange. As a fan, I'm looking forward to where things are going because after the ending of SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME, Spidey is going to be dealing with a lot heading into the third film.

Are YOU looking forward to SPIDER-MAN 3? What are YOU hoping to see in the third film?
