Spoilers: Is this the after credits scene from The Wolverine?

Back in May we brought you an exclusive about a re-shoot on THE WOLVERINE for a credits scene. There weren't that many details about the context of the scene, but it was revealed that someone from Logan's past appeared in it. I say "someone" because this part of the article is a "No Spoiler Zone" and it gives me a chance to add a bit of filler before I get into the new details about the scene. Once again, there are spoilers ahead so if you don't want to know about the end credits scene from THE WOLVERINE, make sure you don't scroll past Hugh Jackman's very veiny arms.

Still with me? Ok. When the credits scene was first reported, many assumed it would tie into X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST since Professor X (Patrick Stewart) was involved. The new report from CBM goes into detail about how the scene may play out, and another familiar face apparently shows up as well:

Wolverine is walking through an airport two years after the events of the movie and all the metal detectors start going haywire with paper clips and shit flying everywhere. He turns around to find Ian McKellen's Magneto standing there. Magneto warns him of an enemy looking to destroy Mutants by building machines (this is directly following a Trask reference so it's probably Sentinels) and asks Wolverine to join him in defending his kind. Wolverine says no and asks why he should even consider it, when all the police and civilians gathered around them freeze and Patrick Stewart as Prof X wheels into frame and says something generic. Cue credits.

One thing that really stands out in this description: "Prof X wheels into frame." THE WOLVERINE is suppose to be set after the events of X-MEN: THE LAST STAND, and at the end of that movie Xavier's mind was transferred to another body. So with the time travel elements in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, has something already messed with the time line from the original films so that Professor X is back in his original body? From how the scene is described it sounds like Professor X's reveal is suppose to be a surprise for Logan, so I do think it's a possibility.

Is this description accurate though? We'll be able to find out soon: THE WOLVERINE will pop its claws in theaters on July 26th, 2013.
