Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay trailer pits Task Force X against Vandal Savage

Amanda Waller is once again assembling the worst of the worst for SUICIDE SQUAD: HELL TO PAY, the forthcoming animated feature from Warner Bros. Animation, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. Expected to to arrive on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital later this year, the movie finds Amanda Waller’s top secret “Task Force X” – Deadshot, Bronze Tiger, Killer Frost, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn and Copperhead – on a mission to retrieve a mystical object so powerful that they’re willing to risk their own lives to steal it. But the Suicide Squad isn’t the only group of villains seeking to possess the object. The race is on for the golden prize … and, to stay alive, second place isn’t an option.

Dun, dun, dunnnnn!

Interestingly enough, the movie is Rated-R for for strong bloody violence throughout, sexual content, brief graphic nudity, and some drug material. Seeing as that's the case, you might want to exercise a bit of caution if you've got little ones nearby. Created by Sam Liu (GOTHAM BY GASLIGHT, TEEN TITANS: THE JUDAS CONTRACT) and scripted by co-producer Alan Burnett, the latest animated outing for the Suicide Squad aims to be the group's most over-the-top mission yet.

SUICIDE SQUAD: HELL TO PAY also boasts an impressive cast of characters and celebrity voices to go with them. The sinful members of Task Force X are voiced by Christian Slater (Deadshot), Billy Brown (Bronze Tiger), Liam McIntyre (Captain Boomerang), Kristin Bauer van Straten (Killer Frost), Gideon Emery (Copperhead), and Tara Strong (Harley Quinn), with Vanessa Williams as Task Force X honcho Amanda Waller.

The cast also includes C. Thomas Howell as Zoom, Dania Ramirez as Scandal Savage, James Urbaniak as Professor Pyg, Julie Nathanson as Silver Banshee, Jim Pirri as Vandal Savage & Vertigo, and Greg Grunberg as Steel Maxum.

Sounds good to me! I typically blow hot and cold with the DC Animated features of the past few years, but I do love me a good bit of ultra-violence, every now and again. Liu has assembled an interesting team for sure, and I'm anxious to see more of that Mad Max-like roadside battle with Banshee, for sure.

SUICIDE SQUAD: HELL TO PAY will reassemble later this year.
