The Last Drive-In: Jeffrey Combs joins Joe Bob Briggs this week

Two icons will be crossing paths on this week's episode of the Shudder series The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs, as legendary movie host Joe Bob Briggs will be joined by horror legend Jeffrey Combs!

Since the movies being shown as the Last Drive-In double feature aren't usually revealed before the show begins, we can't say for sure why Combs is the special guest on this episode, but there are a couple ways to solve this mystery. Joe Bob gave the hint that he'll be showing "a sequel to a horror classic paying homage to a sequel to a horror classic". There's also the process of elimination: the Combs films Re-Animator and Castle Freak have already been shown on The Last Drive-In, but Shudder also has Bride of Re-Animator, which has not been on the show yet…

In The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs,

Briggs, the world’s foremost drive-in movie critic, presents an eclectic horror movie double feature, interrupting the films to expound upon their merits, histories, and significance to genre cinema. The Last Drive-In premieres on Shudder’s live feed before being made available on demand; proving that an SVOD service can create appointment television, the show’s hashtag, #TheLastDriveIn, has trended in the top 10 on Twitter in the US during the premiere of every episode and special, often reaching number one.

The Combs episode will premiere live on the Shudder TV feed this Friday, April 30 at 9pm ET/8c. It will then be available to watch on demand on Shudder and AMC+ as of Sunday.

The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs is produced by Matt Manjourides and Justin Martell and directed by Austin Jennings.
