There’s a demon inside the trailer & poster for What Keeps You Alive

Colin Minihan's thriller WHAT KEEPS YOU ALIVE starring Hannah Emily Anderson (JIGSAW) and Brittany Allen (JIGSAW again) had its world premiere in the Midnighters section at SXSW and I have heard nothing but extremely positive word of mouth surrounding the film ever since. And it's with this in mind that I'm really looking forward to checking out the film once IFC Midnight releases it into theaters and VOD nationwide on August 24th, 2018.

And to get us all ready for the film's release, today we have the movie's official red band trailer for your viewing pleasure! On top of that, today we also have the film's poster for you to check out. You can give it a peek below along with the above-mentioned trailer. The film is written and directed by Colin Minihan and asks the question:

How much can you really know about another person? The unsettling truth that even those closest to us can harbor hidden dimensions drives this thrillingly unpredictable, blood-stained fear trip. Jackie (Hannah Emily Anderson) and Jules (Brittany Allen) are a couple celebrating their one year anniversary at a secluded cabin in the woods belonging to Jackie’s family. From the moment they arrive, something changes in Jules’ normally loving wife, as Jackie (if that even is her real name) begins to reveal a previously unknown dark side—all building up to a shocking revelation that will pit Jules against the woman she loves most in a terrifying fight to survive. Defying expectations at every turn, Director Colin Minihan delivers a nerve-twisting cat and mouse thriller built around a shattering tale of heartbreak and betrayal.

The movie is based on a story by Minihan and Brittany Allen, who also composed the film’s score. Minihan also produces with Kurtis David Harder, Chris Ball, and Ben Knechtel. The film stars Emily Anderson, Brittany Allen, Martha MacIsaac and Joey Klein. IFC Midnight will be releasing the film into theaters and VOD nationwide on August 24th, 2018
