Tom Holland shares photo that indicates the start of filming on Uncharted

Tom Holland has shared a photo showing that the much-delayed production on the UNCHARTED movie has finally begun following the COVID-19 shutdown.

Holland took to Instagram to celebrate the first official day of filming by posting a shot of the back on his black on-set chair, which says "Nate" in big bold red lettering. In case that wasn't enough, the included caption reads "Day one #Uncharted." You can check out Holland's Instagram post below:

UNCHARTED was supposed to begin production back in March but it was all shut down on Holland's first day of filming. The production shooting in Berlin, where the coronavirus pandemic has largely subsided, made it easier for the project to get back on its feet and back to filming shortly. Just last week Holland took a rather gag-inducing coronavirus test to show that he was preparing to get back to work on the film.

UNCHARTED has seen its fair share of delays from directors coming and going, to release date changes and various other scheduling conflicts. VENOM and ZOMBIELAND director Ruben Fleischer is now the guy in charge of helming the project and casting choices such as Mark Wahlberg and Antonio Banderas have been set in stone. After a lot of false starts, it appears UNCHARTED is back on track.

Tom Holland plays a young Nathan Drake in this movie adaptation of the popular game series, reportedly drawing inspiration from the fourth game. The film is finally expected to hit screens on July 16, 2021. Are YOU excited to see UNCHARTED get back to work?
