Trailer: The Curse of Aurore Gagnon is coming to theatres in Montreal

A 10-year-old little girl named Aurore Gagnon died in Quebec in 1920, succumbing to multiple wounds that had been inflicted on her by her stepmother. That little girl has become "a popular cultural icon in Quebec, with almost mythical status", and her story is at the core of director Mehran Torgoley's found footage horror film THE CURSE OF AURORE GAGNON (a.k.a. PAERISH). The trailer can be seen above.

Through a deal with Montreal-based Cinema Guzzo Les Films, THE CURSE OF AURORE GAGNON is getting a theatrical release in the company's self-owned theaters, Cinemas Guzzo. Genre fans in the Montreal area will have the chance to see the film on the big screen starting on July 24th.

Scripted by Llana Barron and Torgoley, the film has the following synopsis:

A thumb drive from the dark web reveals disturbing footage documenting three American filmmakers on a script writing trip to rural Quebec.

Barron also stars in the film with Lex Wilson, Jordan Kaplan, Casey Nolan, and Agathe Salzmann.

THE CURSE OF AURORE GAGNON was produced by Barron and Torgoley, along with Minna Brighton and Kevin Pardo.
