Want a description of the trailer for Thor: The Dark World that will be attached to Iron Man 3?

We only have to wait seventeen more days until IRON MAN 3 finally hits theaters and I think it’s safe to assume that people are psyched to see how everyone’s favorite narcissistic playboy is holding up after THE AVENGERS. IRON MAN 3 may be getting all the attention right now but Marvel isn’t going to let you forget about their other releases coming out this year and today we have a description of the new trailer for THOR: THE DARK WORLD that will be shown with IRON MAN 3.

In Mexico yesterday there was a Disney Consumer Show and Nigel Cook, Vice President of Marvel International, brought with him some IRON MAN 3 footage to show off. As a surprise he also showed a trailer for THOR: THE DARK WORLD and a description of that trailer has been released on Marvel Cómics México’s Facebook page. Screen Rant was very helpful and translated the description so those of you who don’t know Spanish won’t feel left out. Since the description of what was shown was translated the quotes may not be 100% accurate.

Trailer opens with Thor’s voice-over, as quick scenes of action are shown, along with Jane Foster in her Asgardian attire and people on Earth running from “something.”

Thor tells Jame he promised he would return and scenes are shown of Thor coming to Earth and taking Jane back to Asgard.

The action sequences are reportedly “incredible” and Thor is shown taking a beating. He’s fatigued and Malektih, leader of the Dark Elves, is shown completely unafraid of Thor.

A futuristic glass prison is shown, and Loki sits within after the events of The Avengers.

Thor comes to him and says “I need your help, but if you betray me, I will kill you.”

Loki (smirking) responds: “What is it I must do?”

Thor is shown fighting Malekith as Jane watches. Malekith threatens her, as a beaten Thor eyes the Dark Elf King and screams “Noooo!

At the Consumer Show Nigel Cook also said that the trailer would be out April 26th, which is the Mexican and European release date for IRON MAN 3 so it should also be attached to the film when it hits stateside on May 3rd.

Out of all the Marvel films so far, THOR surprised me the most. It very easily could have turned out like the GREEN LANTERN but THOR managed to get most of the things right that GREEN LANTERN got wrong when doing a comic book movie involving the cosmos and different worlds. The trailer description may sound a little bland but part of that might be the translation. Kenneth Branagh leaving was a disappointing but I have faith that director Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones) is going to do a fantastic job bringing the Asgardian back to the big screen.

THOR: THE DARK WORLD is in theaters November 8th, 2013.
