Wonder Woman 2 with Gal Gadot gets a new, early release date!

In the immortal words of Futurama's Professor Farnsworth, "Good news, Everyone!" Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have just confirmed that WONDER WOMAN 2 starring Gal Gadot as the Amazonian warrior princess will arrive in theaters on November 1, 2019! That's a whole month and half earlier than the film's original date which was slated for December 13, 2019. Patty Jenkins is on board to direct the sequel which will find Diana dishing out diplomatic uppercuts to those who would do the world harm.

Over the weekend, the news outlet Page Six published a "story" claiming that Gadot would not sign for the sequel unless Brett Ratner’s name was removed from the franchise. That story is now believed to have been false, as today's news clearly indicates that Gadot is more than ready to hoist up her sword and shield for another adventure as the Daughter of Hippolyta. From what I've heard, Gadot has been locked in to star in WONDER WOMAN 2 for some time, and no such conversations of her leaving the franchise had taken place. There's also the notion that Warner Bros. is angling for WONDER WOMAN to be a part of this year's award season, which lends credence to the idea of both Gadot and Jenkins remaining on board for the sequel.

WONDER WOMAN, which had earned a grand total of $821.8 million in box office returns, has been celebrated by many as a benchmark in comics-to-film entertainment. Personally, I'm overjoyed that we can now put that garbage rumor to rest, and instead begin celebrating the glorious news of WONDER WOMAN 2 arriving well ahead of schedule.

You can catch Gal Gadot as WONDER WOMAN this coming weekend, when she kicks ass and takes names in Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon's JUSTICE LEAGUE opening in theaters this Friday.
