We get tons of emails
every week from people who want to join our site, write for us or
help us do anything. Every single one is appreciated and now here’s
your chance! We are presently looking to boost our DVD
CLINIC‘s stash of reviewers by adding 2
more critics, who will be able to judge DVDs (regular and Blu-Ray), write reviews on them
in the style of our website, and post them in our back-end. The DVD
CLINIC currently houses over 2,200 DVD reviews.
For
anyone who believes that they are well-suited for this non-paying
gig (you will, however, receive DVDs to review and get to keep
them…natch!), keep reading and please apply asap.

What
is required of this post?
You must be able to
commit to this job for at least a period of 6-12 months and review
a MINIMUM OF 2 DVDS every week!
You must be serious
about your application, the vacant position and be, at least, 21
years old.
You must be an
excellent writer, bar-none. If you send us an email with
spelling and grammatical errors, it will not be considered. Our
kind of humor helps as well, but professionalism is most
important.
You must know DVDs,
appreciate them, understand extras, video, audio, etc…
You must have basic
.html skills since they are required to enter the stories into
our system. No elaborate skills, just the very basics. We will
also provide you with a basic 1-page tutorial on this. Experience
with graphic programs such as Photoshop, etc… is also
appreciated.
If you’ve already
written some DVD reviews (in our style — see how we write ours
up HERE),
please include those in your application as well. We will NOT
read novels (i.e. long-ass reviews). See how ours are written,
and follow those guidelines. Finalists will be given specific
DVDs to review.
IMPORTANT:
Please make sure that you have enough time during each week to
review DVDs. We’ve had others "think" they can handle it,
but watching 2 movies a week, then watching the special features,
then writing 2 reviews takes a lot of time! Please be sure that you
have that time, so that we don’t waste each others time.

to back it up as as well!) Try to concentrate on the above
requirements and PLEASE DO NOT talk about how much you LOVE
MOVIES at nauseam,
since most everyone says that it their applications, so that’s a
“given”… 😉
Also, include your full name, age, resume (if you’ve
got one), geographical location as well as a few writing samples,
preferably dvd reviews written in the same breakdown as ours.
Furthermore, if you’ve already worked on any other website, please
provide us with the required URLs so that we could check those out as
well.
