You can’t escape what’s inside the Comic-Con trailer for Syfy’s Nightflyers

It's the year 2093, and a group of maverick scientists and a powerful telepath have embarked on an expedition towards the edge of the solar system with the hopes of making contact with a mysterious alien life-form. However, as they race towards first contact, terrifying and violent events begin to occur, causing the once tight-knit crew to mistrust each other. It’s not long before their main mission becomes survival. Syfy has unveiled the latest trailer for the upcoming series and it looks as though it could be potentially quite spooky, sort of like Event Horizon: The TV Series. Just give us an eyeless Sam Neill.

Nightflyers is based upon the novella by George R.R. Martin, and Martin himself has previously teased that the series is a "haunted house story on a starship. It's Psycho in space." Sounds good to me. Gretchen Mol (Boardwalk Empire) will star as Dr. Agatha Matheson, alongside Eoin Macken (The Night Shift) as Karl D’Branin, David Ajala (FAST & FURIOUS 6) as Roy Eris, Sam Strike (EastEnders) as Thale, Maya Eshet (Teen Wolf) as Lommie, Angus Sampson (Fargo) as Rowan, Jodie Turner-Smith (The Last Ship) as Melantha Jhirl, and Brían F. O’Byrne (MILLION DOLLAR BABY) as Auggie. Nightflyers will debut on Syfy this fall.
