Zachary Levi shares the first official look at himself in costume as Shazam!

Production on SHAZAM! officially wrapped up earlier this month, but beyond a series of leaked photos from the set, we still haven't gotten an official look at Zachary Levi as the title character, until now. The actor spotted a bit of promotional material for his upcoming film at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, and saw fit to share the image with fans, which hopefully means that a more official reveal can't be far behind. What do you folks think?

I'm excited to see what SHAZAM! will bring, but Zachary Levi has been rather tight-lipped about what we can expect from the David F. Sandberg (LIGHTS OUT) film. "I can't tell you much, as you can probably imagine, but what I can say is I am just out of my mind excited! I get to do my version of Big, basically," Levi has said. "It’s like Superman meets Big, and that’s just so fun. I get to be a superhero that’s excited about being a superhero, and I think that’s refreshing. It’s not glum, and like, ‘Oh, I have to save the world again.' So I think it’s all really gravy."

The official synopsis for SHAZAM!

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).

SHAZAM! will hit theaters on April 5, 2019.
