Bloody Disgusting somehow got their hands – no matter how goopy – on the first teaser poster for Breck Eisner’s THE CRAZIES, and I must say it’s not bad at all. (Click on the image above to see the entire thing.) I must also say that if you haven’t seen George Romero’s original, you should absolutely make that a priority, as its a terrific film and probably his most unappreciated. I can only hope the remake captures some of the creepy paranoia of that flick.
Starring Timothy Olyphant and Radha Mitchell (pictured below), THE CRAZIES tells the tale of a virus unleashed in a small community, which quickly becomes a war zone of panicked military, desperate scientists and gentle neighbors turned homicidal maniacs. It comes out on September 25th.
I can also tell you that IMDB has listed Maxime Alexander as the film’s cinematographer. Alexander is Alexandre Aja’s regular D.P., having shot HIGH TENSION, THE HILLS HAVE EYES and MIRRORS.
