With just a few months to go (well, almost 5), Dreamworks and Paramount have started getting folks pumped up for the upcoming film adaptation of SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET, from director Tim Burton. The flick stars Johnny Depp as the notorious Sweeney Todd, and over the weekend, the boys over at JoBlo.com scored the first image of Depp as Todd, and boy does it look good!
The above image also features Helena Bonham Carter as Todd’s partner in crime, Mrs. Lovett. While it feels a lot like the flick’s teaser poster (this one right here), as in same location, same look etc…, it’s still kick ass and makes me believe that this beast will rock! With Burton and Depp together again, how could it not, right? SWEENEY TODD hits theaters everywhere January 11th.
