THE PUNISHER: WAR ZONE had been filming in my adopted hometown of Montreal for a little over a month now, and I actually had two friends working on the project. But of course, since they aren’t real friends, they wouldn’t link me with any spy pics, or director Lexi Alexander’s scarf, or even a bagel from the craft table. Nothing! But finally, due to the grace of the world wide web, I can finally get my first look at Ray Stevenson as Frank Castle aka The Punisher.
I personally don’t see the need for another Punisher movie, but I suppose Marvel just can’t stand to lose. The first HULK was a failure, so they’re trying it again. Now they’re doing it with THE PUNISHER. Lexi Alexander spoke to Cinematical about the film, and here’s what she had to say about the rating: “Well, it definitely will be a Hard R, and luckily Lionsgate’s been great about it. They haven’t given me any guidelines in terms of violence. I think they’re a real good studio to make a violent movie, and I really like violent movies.
