2 Giallo posters

Just the other day, my man Eric called your attention to a bunch of brand new stills from Dario Argento’s upcoming GIALLO. Those were some intensely icky images and now we have the release of two low-res posters for the film! I posted the better one (in my opinion) above and the kinda weird one below.

I’ll start out with the better one. I’m totally digging the array of different-sized knives with that one big, red one sticking out in the middle. It’s so simplistic, but totally conveys the message of the flick! “A Film By Dario Argento”—what more do you need?!

Now on to the kinda weird one. I just don’t get it. What’s with that stupid, puppy-dog look slapped across Adrien Brody’s face? Nothing scary or horror-centric. It looks like he’s investigating a crime in the middle of some gay nightclub from the look of that odd-colored background. Let’s hope this particular poster gets cut.

The plot for GIALLO bleeds like this: After discovering that her sister has been abducted by a notorious serial killer who operates under the name “Yellow,” an American flight attendant enlists the aid of an Italian investigator in seeking out her missing sibling. In addition to Brody, the cast consists of Asia Argento, Emmanuelle Seigner (below), and Elsa Pataky. As of now, it’s set to release in the US some time in 2009.

“Hey, this dress won’t make part of my nipples pop out, right?”
