The HATCHET 2 cast continues to grow, and it’s getting pretty interesting. ShockTillYouDrop got the scoop that the Adam Green film has added A.J. Bowen (THE SIGNAL, THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL; pictured right) and Tom Holland (director of CHILD’S PLAY) to the cast; the two join Danielle Harris, Tony Todd, and, of course, Kane Hodder, who returns as the maniacal Victor Crowley.
Bowen will play “Layton”, a character hired by Tony Todd’s “Reverend Zombie” to hunt down Crowley and kill him. Holland (seen below having a chat with Stephen King on the set of THINNER), who has extensive acting experience, will play “Uncle Bob, the brother of Robert Englund’s character from the first film”.
According to Green, HATCHET 2 won’t be quite as cheery as the first one: “Obviously the tone of the Hatchet world is all about good old fashioned slasher fun and the sense of humor that the first Hatchet film had was one of the things that endeared this huge fan base to it, so there will still be some laughs. But overall, things are gonna get a lot more intense across the board.”
