2 visit Cabin

Joss Whedon’s CABIN IN THE WOODS is quickly becoming a flick all genre fans should take note of. Whedon and company are going to extra lengths to keeping this one under wraps and are claiming CABIN will be ‘the horror film to end all horror films.’

So needless to say CABIN IN THE WOODS is very intriguing. Today we’ve got a bit of casting news coming out of The Hollywood Reporter. Though this casting news gives no insight at all as to what we can expect from CABIN. Actually it just makes things more confusing! The two names to join CABIN are a couple great comedy actors in Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford. How do Whitford (below) and Jenkins (above) fit into CABIN? Whedon says: “They’re the first proof that though ‘The Cabin in the Woods’ is a classic horror film, it isn’t one you’ve seen before.”

That is very true Mr. Whedon. Co-writer and director Drew Goddard had this to add: “It’s really just your basic typecasting: When you need two actors to run through the woods in low-cut nighties, you immediately think of Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford.” Touche Mr. Goddard, very true. Does this mean we’ll actually be seeing some females running around in the woods wearing low-cut nighties? We shall see. Word has it that Jenkins and Whitford will be playing a couple ‘white-collar co-workers who have a mysterious connection to the cabin.’

Hopefully we won’t have to wait long to get some more info on CABIN IN THE WOODS. Keep it here for any updates as we hear them.

It’s an unwritten law that any Joss Whedon story needs a Sarah Michelle Gellar picture attached.
