Believe it or not, awards season is just around the corner, and now, we’ve got the complete list of nominees for the 2026 Gotham Awards! Shockingly, five films tied for the most nominations as the Gotham Film Group evaluated this year’s contenders, with All of a Sudden, Clarissa, The Invite, La Gradiva, and Tender Loving Care each earning four noms.

Meanwhile, Everytime, Josephine, Minotaur, Possible Love, Primetime, Teenage Sex and Death At Camp Miasma, and Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother nabbed three nominations apiece.

This year’s nominees for Best Feature include: Clarissa (Neon), Club Kid (A24); The Debut (A24); Dreams in Nightmares (Lunette Films); The Invite (A24); Josephine (Sumerian Pictures); Mouse (Independent Film Company); Paper Tiger (Neon); Primetime (A24); Teenage Sex And Death At Camp Miasma (Mubi);andYour Mother Your Mother Your Mother (Amazon MGM Studios).

A24 and Neon Dominate the Leaderboard

Putting some big numbers on the board this year are A24 and Neon, which earned 15 and 14 noms, respectively. 1-2 Special also made a splash with eight nominations, while Mubi clocked seven across multiple categories. Nominations spanned 42 features and 25 performances across 11 categories, capturing excellence in cinema throughout the year.

The Return of the Gotham Audience Award

While every category is worth investigating, the Gotham Audience Award is returning after a six-year hiatus. According to its description, the Gotham Audience Award “celebrates films that transcend the screen to become defining cultural moments, capturing audiences’ attention through their impact, reach, and resonance.”

Much consideration goes into selecting the nominees for every category, with judges evaluating titles and performances based on quality, box-office appeal, and viewer tracking beyond theatrical runs.

“It’s a pleasure to announce this year’s nominees. It has been a remarkable year for film, with audiences turning out in theaters for bold, distinctive work from first-time filmmakers and established artists alike,” said Jeffrey Sharp, Executive Director of The Gotham Film & Media Institute. “This year’s nominations, alongside our Tributes and the return of the Audience Award, reflect that abundance and celebrate the creative community that has been at the heart of The Gothams for more than three decades.”
