Wes Craven’s first effort in the genre since 2005, 25/8, has been in the works for a while now. And word has it the crew got back together for reshoots recently… never a good sign. But perhaps there’s a bit of hope!
Craven recently updated his Twitter to inform the world that the trailer for the flick is just about ready and that ‘it rocks.’ Oh Wes, would you really tell us if it sucked? Here’s his ‘tweet:’ “Just saw the studio’s new trailer for 25/8… it rocks! Think Stand By Me with knives!” Nice! Wait… what? That doesn’t really sound like the slasher flick I’m expecting from Craven. Is the man losing his touch? Going a different route?
Regardless of this speed bump I’ll hold out a bit of hope… I did dig RED EYE after all. What about you? What kind of flick are you expecting in 25/8? You think there’s any hope left for this one at all? The thriller, about a serial killer who returns to his hometown to stalk seven children who share the same birthday as the date he was allegedly put to rest, doesn’t even have a release date yet. As soon as we get a look at this trailer… or hear about this release date… or hear anything 25/8 related we’ll update you all!
