Brie Larson & Samuel L. Jackson re-team in the magical Unicorn Store trailer

After teaming up to thwart a Skrull invasion in Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck's CAPTAIN MARVEL, Carol Danvers herself, Brie Larson, and Samuel L. Jackson are back, and this time they're … making plans to welcome a mythical creature into our very real world? Welp, I suppose that if Captain Marvel can shoot sparkles from her fists and Nick Fury can establish himself as a cat lover, anything is possible.

Today Netflix has debuted a trailer and key art for UNICORN STORE, an upcoming comedy that focuses on a woman named Kit who receives a mysterious invitation that would fulfill her childhood dreams.

Written by PEOPLE OF EARTH scribe Samantha McIntyre, UNICORN STORE is directed by Larson as a way of marking her feature directorial debut. Starring alongside Larson and Jackson in the fanciful comedy are Bradley Whitford (GET OUT, THE CABIN IN THE WOODS), Joan Cusack (SCHOOL OF ROCK, HIGH FIDELITY), Karan Soni (DEADPOOL, GHOSTBUSTERS), Martha MacIsaac (SUPERBAD, THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT) and Ryan Hansen (VERONICA MARS, FRIDAY THE 13TH), among others.

As the trailer gallops along, we find Larson's Kit struggling to live up to a myriad of expectations set upon her by society, her family, as well as her own internal Emo Teen Life Coach. Along her journey of self-discovery, she meets the purveyor of a mysterious storefront (Samuel L. Jackson) who delights in dealing dreams, desires, and apparently, mythological creatures. With the promise of one day owning her very own unicorn, Kit becomes more goal-oriented than ever as she attempts to build a home for her new pet. Along the way, she'll unlock new levels of her own potential, even if those closest to her fail to believe in her newfound motivation.

UNICORN STORE premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2017 and has finally found a home at Netflix. You can experience the magic of Kit's journey courtesy of the streamer beginning on April 5th.
