THE KEEPING ROOM tells the story of three women surviving on their own during the final days of the Civil War. It is an intense feature directed by Daniel Barber with three fantastic leading performances. Brit Marling, Hailee Steinfeld and Muna Otaru are terrific together, and the lovely Ms. Marling creates a very strong and compelling character. This is a unique and powerful character driven western that is well worth investing in.
Recently, we sat down with Ms. Marling and Ms. Steinfeld to talk about their experiences on set. Since her incredible performance in TRUE GRIT, Hailee has become one of the best young actors working today. As well, Brit continues to give great performances, and this film is certainly no exception. They both discussed their roles and making such an emotionally powerful film. What was even more surprising was how much fun the conversation is, thanks to two incredibly warm and charming – and insanely talented – actors.
