Director Joe Johnston’s next project is not safe for work

Joe Johnston on Cap setNo really. That’s the name of the movie right now – NSFW. Since CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER came out we haven’t heard much from Johnston as to what he’ll do next – mostly just rumors ranging from a sequel to CAPTAIN AMERICA to a Winter Soldier spin-off to JURASSIC PARK IV. But whatever ends up happening with any of those bigger movies, Johnston will first work on NSFW, a “micro-budgeted thriller [about] a young paralegal who is trapped in the office with a killer on a mission to destroy files for another corporation.”

I guess it’s micro-budget by comparison, as this movie will cost $2.5 million while other movies Johnston has done have gone as high as $140 million (CAPTAIN AMERICA). The movie will be done under the banner of Blumhouse Pictures, a production company connected with bringing the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY series to life.  It is unkown at this time who will star or when exactly the movie will be made, though if Johnston wants to do CAP 2 he’d better get his ass in gear by the end of the year.
