Interview: Man on a Ledge Star Edward Burns!

JoBloJoBlo

It’s hard not to respect Edward Burns. With THE BROTHER’S McMULLEN, he gave audiences an insightful look into the life and love of three Long Island Irish Catholic siblings. His career since as a triple threat actor/writer/director is impressive to say the least. Yet in MAN ON A LEDGE, he takes on a supporting role, only to bring the untrusting officer Jack Dougherty to life. And in person Edward is incredibly amiable besides being most assuredly talented.

When I sat down with him, we talked about his work in front of and behind the camera. With a career spanning nearly twenty-years, he certainly has much to offer. In regards to his character in LEDGE, we talked about it not necessarily being the role you’d expect it to be. It was a nice change of pace for this type of thriller. Burns also talks about what he has on the horizon, something akin to the indie quality of BROTHERS MCMULLEN.

MAN ON A LEDGE opens this Friday at a theatre near you.
