A year end promotional push for Christopher Nolan’s trilogy capper THE DARK KNIGHT RISES is currently in full effect. This past week, a brand new viral marketing campaign got underway while next week will likely have us seeing the film’s long-awaited second trailer online (all this is not to mention, of course, the 6-minute “prologue” that will play in front of IMAX screenings of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – GHOST PROTOCOL this week).
Over the weekend though we got a brand new teaser poster for the film, and it’s a nice one! Featuring our new villain Bane walking away from a broken cowl (problem with the graphite?), is this imagery a not so subtle allusion to Batman’s breaking encounter with his buffed-up adversary? Or is it simply a more symbolic kind of breakage? Either way, it’s a very effective poster!
