Ah, so now the quality of the STAR WARS prequels makes sense.
As demonstrated in GEORGE LUCAS STRIKES BACK, the filmmaker was actually absent during the prequel production, and (like many who suffered Jar Jar and “Annie” and the explanation of the Force and so, so much more) is seeking some OLDBOY-style payback. It’s the authenticity of the costumes that really sells the story.
