New Beavis and Butthead in the works?

JoBloJoBlo

Mike Judge brought Beavis and Butthead out of retirement to help promote his last directorial project EXTRACT but beyond that we haven’t heard of any formal plans to bring the boys back to life. Until now. REVIEWniverse is reporting that Judge is planning a big time comeback for “Beavis and Butthead” though it doesn’t appear to be a sequel to BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD DO AMERICA as was previously rumored.

Judge is reportedly planning 30 new episodes of an updated “Beavis and Butthead” that would air on MTV. Apparently no deal has been struck with the network but Judge is writing new episodes with the idea that MTV, which made the cartoon duo famous, would run the series.

For those worried that some new-fangled “Beavis and Butthead” would lose the feel of the original episodes, the report claims Judge is looking to maintain the same format (sketches mixed with commentary on music videos) of the original as well as the same look.

There’s still no concrete proof this is happening as I’ve never heard of REVIEWniverse and they have never heard of their anonymous source before. But if it’s true, it’d be hard (heh-heh) to turn down.
