Last week there was a bit of buzz surrounding the possibility that Rachel McAdams would be playing Black Cat in Sam Raimi’s next SPIDER-MAN venture. The character fits in with Raimi’s universe, McAdams looks the part, it had all the makings of a good casting call. However…
“That’s a total rumor, I have to say,” said McAdams. “I was hanging out in Toronto the other day and someone came up to me and said, ‘I just heard you’re doing Spider-Man 4.’ And I said, ‘Really? No one told me! It’s not true.”
Well it looks my Cast This poll from this week just got a lot more relevant! But actually, between this denial and the recent fact that Peter Parker may in fact have a baby now, I’m not sure that Black Cat really fits into what this movie is shaping up to be. That being said, McAdams might be playing coy on the behest of Raimi, and this is all some secret conspiracy to shock us with a trailer chock full of white-haired McAdams goodness.
But I doubt it.
