New Herzog trailer

Werner Herzog has not one but two films debuting at this year’s Toronto Film Festival. The first, BAD LIEUTENANT, you’ve probably heard of as it stars Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes. The second though might take you by surprise. It’s called MY SON, MY SON, WHAT HAVE YE DONE and is inspired by true events. It tells the story of Mark Yarovsky (his name changed for the movie) a San Diego struggling actor who was cast in a production of “Orestes.” In a case of life imitating art, he stabbed his mother to death with a saber (just like the character Orestes in the play who is avenging the death of his father Agamemnon).

Herzog says the film is about 70% fictionalized with a good deal of the dialogue improvised on set. The David Lynch-produced film will debut at TIFF (where JoBlo.com will be on hand to check it out) and we’ve got the trailer for the film for you right now. Check it out below!
