Two more for Wall St

JoBloJoBlo

In the “you kinda already knew this” department, Carey Mulligan and Josh Brolin have signed on to co-star with Michael Douglas, Shia LaBeouf and Frank Langella in WALL STREET 2. Brolin is stepping in to replace Javier Bardem who had been in talks to star as the villainous hedge fund manager who may or may not be responsible for the death of LaBeouf’s mentor. Mulligan, who has to be a front-runner for an Oscar for her work in the upcoming AN EDUCATION, will play Gordon Gecko’s daughter who, as you might imagine, is also schtupping LaBeouf.

Both of these castings have been rumored for a while but with people like Bardem being rumored and going in and out, it’s good to have some official confirmation. I’m still not completely sold on the idea of a WALL STREET 2 but I’ll admit part of that is the name itself. Bill the film as its subtitle, MONEY NEVER SLEEPS, instead and it’s already looking better.
