Disney at Comic-Con

While the full programming lineup for this year’s Comic-Con will be announced later this afternoon, we’re getting some early word on what we’ll see this year. Disney released their Comic-Con titles and it’s a pretty good mix of classic Disney fare and fanboy geek fare.

Movie to be pimped include TRON2, TOY STORY 3, PONYO, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST 3D, THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG, ALICE IN WONDERLAND and DISNEY’S A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Now that Hall H is equipped for 3D, Disney is taking full advantage with over half of their films being presented in the 3D format.

Joining moderator Patton Oswalt on stage (which should make for a hilarious panel) will be ALICE director Tim Burton, CHRISTMAS CAROL director Robert Zemeckis, TOY STORY 3 director Lee Unkrich and in an extremely rare US appearance, PONYO director Hayao Miyazaki. That should be enough right there to have the Hall H faithful on their feet.

The “Disney 3D Panel” (TRON, ALICE and CHRISTMAS) will take place on Thursday at 11 a.m. in Hall H and the “Disney Animation Panel” (everything else) will take place on Friday at 12:45 p.m.

Stay tuned later today for even more from Comic-Con!
