TJ Hooker movie?

JoBloJoBlo

While William Shatner was left out of the STAR TREK reboot, perhaps he’ll find himself with a cameo when another of his popular TV series makes it to the big screen. Chuck Russell (THE SCORPION KING) is in talks to direct an action-comedy based on the popular 80s TV series “TJ Hooker.” While the show itself had some humorous elements, it wasn’t exactly a comedy and it seems this incarnation could be taking more of a STARSKY & HUTCH road than something like MIAMI VICE.

While HOOKER was a few years short of the 70s detective boom on TV, it still holds a warm place in many hearts because a) it was cheesy and b) it had William Shatner (sorry if that was redundant). If you’ve never seen the film yourself, you should head over to Crackle.com where you can watch full episodes of the series.
