First Robert Rodriguez dropped out of the CONAN THE BARBARIAN reboot then Brett Ratner moved on from the Atlantean Sword wielding warrior and, as far as we knew, the movie was quietly rotting in development hell. Somebody wants this movie made, though, because, according to the folks over at CHUD, Marcus Nispel has come on board to direct the film. He certainly has experience with reboots as he’s directed the FRIDAY THE 13TH and TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE reboot/remakes with pretty good success. They apparently want the film to go into production as soon as possible – maybe even as early as this Summer – and, if so, we should be hearing casting on the titular beefcake relatively soon. Anybody wanna rehash some choices?
