Russell goes mental

JoBloJoBlo

David O. Russell Notoriously prickly auteur David O. Russell has been tasked by the brothers Weinstein to write and direct an adaptation of Matthew Quick’s novel “The Silver Linings Playbook”. In it, a high school teacher recently released from a mental institution moves back in with his mother and attempts to reconcile with his ex-wife. No word on when it’ll get started but likely sooner rather than later, unless things go like Russell’s last film. He was most recently working on the Jessica Biel starring romantic comedy NAILED but the funding’s been cut and restored so many times on that flick, who knows if it ever actually finished. Seriously, if anyone knows about that, please strike back a little something below. And if you’re itching to see Biel actually get nailed, check the drama POWDER BLUE.
