The Kung Fu Kid

JoBloJoBlo

Jackie Chan Jackie Chan recently spoke to “3News” about his career so far and his wish to be more of an “actor who fights” rather than a “fighter who acts” and in between his musings, he let it slip that the title for the upcoming KARATE KID remake, in which he’ll be playing Daniel-san’s wise mentor Mr. Miyagi, has been titled THE KUNG FU KID. Why? Because it’s more relevant to the times or sounds more hip or whatever the hell the marketing or production team reasoned would be a good reason to change the name. Of course, this is only for those of you who are still interested in this remake after learning Big Willie Smith’s son, Jaden, has been cast as the titular Kid. Check out the rest of the interview over HERE. Chan’s acting chops will next be on display in the action drama THE SHINJUKU INCIDENT.
