The cool peeps over at “The Bad and Ugly Hollywood” have gotten their hands on the first pics of Matt Damon as famed South African Rugby player/captain Francois Pienaar in the currently filming, Clint Eastwood directed drama THE HUMAN FACTOR. Based on John Carlin’s book, the film centers on Nelson Mandela’s (played by Morgan Freeman) attempt to unite a devasted, post-Apartheid South Africa by hosting the 1995 Rugby World Cup. And just to get a head start on all the Academy Awards hoopla next year, the Academy has decided to just go ahead and nominate the film for Best Picture right now, with Matt Damon for Best Actor, Freeman for Best Supporting Actor and Eastwood for Best Director.
