With WATCHMEN about to light up the box office this weekend and much being made of the battle between Michael Bay and McG for box office supremacy this summer, JJ Abram’s STAR TREK is kind of getting lost in the fray. For me, the most thrilling thing about this description is the chilling description of Nero as a “half-mad captain” who “seeks the death of every intelligent being, and the annihilation of every civilized world.” I’ve never been a huge fan of the Trek franchise but after that, I’m in.
