Judd Apatow and Adam Sandler will be working together on a new project, thus far untitled, revolving around stand-up comics. Sandler and Seth Rogen will star. Speaking to MTV about the project, Sandler said: “I’ve got to write an act again. It’s been a long time. I haven’t done stand-up in, like, 10 years. Even more.” Meanwhile, Apatow says “It’s a comedy, but it has more drama in it. A hilarious drama is what I’m going for… Every movie, I’m trying to find a way to go deeper, to tell stories about subjects that are important and make them less and less broad while making them equally as funny. [This film is] another step in that progression.”
Talk about challenging yourself creatively! Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen in a movie playing stand-up comics who are hilarious. How about for the next film we get Paris Hilton and Jessica Simpson to play two dumb blonde bitches who like shopping and f*cking? Or maybe two Labradors to star in a movie about two dogs who have tails and like chasing shit? Oh whatever, it’s an Apatow flick, we all know it’s gonna be awesome. I feel good about the dog movie though. Call me, Hollywood.
