Synecdoche, poster

The upcoming Charlie Kaufman directorial debut SYNECDOCHE, NEW YORK (our review HERE) has gotten a poster, which you can see by wishing on a star and then clicking ABOVE. In the film, a theater director (Philip Seymour Hoffman) struggles with his work, and the women in his life, as he attempts to create a life-size replica of New York inside a warehouse as part of his new play. Hope Davis, Samantha Morton,, Catherine Keener and Michelle Williams co-star.

A Kaufman flick with a Jon Brion soundtrack is all well and good, but to be honest I’m finding it tough to get too excited about this after just seeing that trailer for THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE WEIRD. I mean, Charlie, in the grand scheme of things, is it really too much to ask for a scene where guys with guns rob a highway train??
