Brolin, Alley Nailed

JoBloJoBlo

James Brolin and Kirstie Alley have joined the cast of David O. Russell’s political rom-com of sorts, NAILED. Alley will play a veterinarian who fails to remove a nail from the head of her niece (Jessica Biel), who in turn travels to Washington to fight for better health care with the help of a disgruntled youth (Olivia Crocicchia) and falls for a congressman (Jake Gyllenhaal). James Brolin will be replacing James Caan, after he walked out on the production recently.

I know that Russell is a dynamite director and that he makes good films: I think we all do. But with all of the horror stories I have to assume joining the cast of one of his productions is like creeping up behind a grizzly bear and flicking it in the nuts. Still, hopefully the thing will end up being as good as THREE KINGS and then we’ll all have to agree it was probably worth it.
