Swing Vote trailer

The trailer for SWING VOTE is up in our video section, and it’s one of those strange studio pictures, with the big cast and the high-concept plot that seem to come out of the mist and humble this know-it-all movie journalist (if you can call me that). SWING VOTE has one of those highly realistic plots torn straight from the headlines where one man’s vote (Kevin Costner) will decide the next U.S. President. The candidates vying for Costner’s affection are played Kelsey Grammer (the current Republican candidate) and Dennis Hopper (Democrat), and their campaign managers by Stanley Tucci and Nathan Lane–who both seem born to play loyal, ratty wingmen. The film comes out August 1st, and clearly got lost in the all the summer pizzaz, but if anyone can lift an average project to unreachable heights, it’s Kevin Costner. Am I right, or am I right?
