Jovovich is 4th

Milla Jovovich, who you might have seen in the RESIDENT EVIL films, or probably more recently, frolicking naked in your wildest dreams, has signed on to star in THE 4TH KIND. Helming the project will be first time director Olatunde Osunsanmi, or “Double-O” to his friends. The film is about an unsolved mystery in Alaska, where one town has seen an extraordinary number of unexplained disappearances during the past 40 years and there are accusations of a federal cover-up. Jovovich will be playing a woman investigating the disappearances. Hopefully there will be zombies involved too. I’m so used to her and zombies now that at this point I’m pretty sure she came out of the womb scissor-kicking the undead.

What makes this whole thing interesting is that Osunsanmi is a former assistant to one Joe Carnahan, and the two worked together in the premise while Osunsanmi was working on SMOKIN’ ACES. And if Osunsanmi is anything like the Carnosaur I’m thinking this is gonna be great.

Yeah, only the most tenuous of connections, but if you’re interested in screen writing, or noir, or writing that is so sick it will make you draw wood, check out Carnahan’s WHITE JAZZ in the JoBlo,com Scripts Collection. It is one of the best scripts I’ve ever read. A little long with the ending, but still, truly fantastic.
